Stuff Girls Like

I think Imelda Marcos ( former Phillipenes first lady who had a shoes mania) made a mistake, it is not shoes that women really like it is bags.  In any city there is a mentally disturbed lady walking around with a trolley full of plastic bags but that is just another indication of the love women have for their bags.

Bags say a lot about a female, I remember seeing a program predicting what sort of people would carry certain plastic bags, for instance a Harrods plastic bag or an HMV.  Harrods was carried by those who had not shopped there but wanted people to know that they are a Harrods sort of person.  HMV bags would be carried by Scandanavian tourist on a weekend trip to London.  The lady with a Harrods bag was hiding an expsive bag inside a Harrod’s bag but the theory still holds.

There has been a number of cases were gangs in motorbikes have smashed windows of shops and have taken designer bags and escaped at high speeds through London streets, like and old fashioned bank robbery, that says something about the cost of bags in this day and age.

When it comes to designer bags, you have always had a few male athletes who want to buy great bags and I recently saw a Hollywood actor carrying a purse, go figure. But males have not yet bought in to the designer bag syndrome, not even gay ones.

I have interviewed a number of ladies who have claimed that although they love looking at designer bags for their quality, for being oversized, details and unusual shapes, they do not like buying them just because they are overpriced and over-here.  You have to admire the practicality of females, designer might be an aspiration but it will not overtake sense of economy.   We have seen men who have refused to feed their kids just to keep a car but women are still practical in their passions.

At the end of the day bag are just carriers and containers but they are also a fashion statement but the  generic use is totally lost.

Can someone tell me what the average number of bags a modern woman has?  In a way it makes sense if you are going to look good, you need a great bag to finish the look.  As long as the is fashion clothes then the mania for bags will continue, and I think you will be seeing more of these bag gangs across various cities.

Fellows please remember that there is a potetal  bag lady in every woman!  I do not mean to put you of your love for women.
